UAE eInvoicing explained

What is an eInvoice?

An eInvoice is structured data created, exchanged, and processed in a digital format. In the UAE, suppliers and buyers exchange that data through Accredited Service Providers connected to the national system.

The important distinction

A PDF sent by email is not an eInvoice.

PDF, Word, image, scanned, and email-only documents are human-readable files. An eInvoice is structured data that software can validate, exchange, and process automatically.

Who it applies to

Dubai businesses follow the UAE federal rollout.

The rules apply to persons conducting business in the UAE, regardless of VAT registration status. Business and government transactions are in scope; consumer transactions are currently outside the mandate.

In scope

B2B and government transactions

  • UAE businesses above and below AED 50 million revenue
  • VAT-registered and non-VAT-registered businesses
  • Business-to-business and business-to-government activity
  • Government-to-business and government-to-government activity

Limited exclusions apply

Exclusions are narrow and should be checked against the latest Ministry of Finance guidance.

Compliance essentials

What your business needs to prepare.

Start early: checking TRNs, addresses, tax codes, and accounting-system connections takes time. A readiness assessment helps identify gaps before you onboard, test, and go live.

Choose one accredited ASP

Finaccru is the platform; Fynamics is the accredited ASP for transmission. AYS Advisors helps with onboarding, accounting, and advisory.

Still got questions?

Can I keep my accounting software?

Yes. Connect Zoho, Odoo, Sage, Xero, Tally, or QuickBooks. API integration can connect your current workflow to e-invoicing; custom ERP integration is available on request. The readiness review confirms the scope for your system.

Who handles the platform and transmission?

Finaccru provides the e-invoicing platform. Fynamics is the Ministry of Finance-accredited ASP (accreditation No. 159905) that validates and transmits invoices through Peppol and supports FTA tax reporting. AYS Advisors supports onboarding, accounting, and advisory. The ASP accreditation belongs to Fynamics.

How does onboarding work?

AYS Advisors follows five stages: assess your process, systems, and master data; onboard your business and confirm service arrangements; integrate your accounting software; test validation, rejections, and reporting; then support ongoing operations after go-live.

Which plan suits my business?

Spark is self-service: AED 1,299/year for the platform, features, infrastructure, and support, with 100 e-invoices included at no additional invoice charge. After those, buy 10 for AED 50. Flex is AED 25/invoice, with no annual fee or portal access; a dedicated relationship manager handles filing. Prime combines portal access and managed filing at AED 1,299/year plus AED 15 per invoice.

What training and support are available?

Video guides and human-led live onboarding sessions help your team learn the workflow. Onboarding, IT, accounting, and support teams assist with setup, integration, invoice validation, and ongoing transmission issues. Ask AYS Advisors about related accounting, VAT, corporate tax, audit, and advisory support.

What should I prepare before starting?

Prepare your business and customer TRNs where applicable, addresses, tax codes, supplier and buyer details, invoice fields, and accounting-system information. Start early: cleaning master data, connecting systems, and testing take time. Use Check Readiness to request an assessment with our team.
